Equipment
A food processor with a slicing setting is helpful but not mandatory.
If you don’t have one, add around 10 minutes to the prep time.
a pan for cooking pasta
a large, non-stick frying pan
Ingredients
250g dried pasta
625g mushrooms (Tesco family pack)
1 pack passata
150ml double cream
1 tsp dried basil
1 veg stock cube (crumbled)
Method
Cook the pasta according to the ingredients on the pack
Meanwhile, Slice the mushrooms thinly (using the food processor if available)
Put all the mushrooms into a large non-stick frying pan and heat until the mushrooms have reduced
Add the stock cube and basil and stir through
Add the passata
Stir in the cream
When the pasta is cooked, stir it into the sauce to coat well
